# Phase 0 Report - Monorepo and Local Environment

Date: 2026-07-15
Scope: Prompt 1 / Phase 0, applied after the Phase 1 scaffold.

## Summary

Retrofitted the missing Phase 0 baseline underneath the existing Phase 1 skeleton:

- Added monorepo configuration, TypeScript config, lint/format/test config placeholders, and local CI script.
- Added PHP backend health endpoints and clear service construction.
- Added database migration configuration via `phinx.php`.
- Added Docker Compose services for Apache/PHP, MySQL, Redis, and a realtime health service.
- Added shared protocol TypeScript interfaces and JavaScript serialization helpers.
- Added realtime service skeleton with `/health`.
- Added GitHub Actions CI workflow that can run dependency-free checks now and full installs once lockfiles exist.
- Preserved shared browser packages used by the PWA, Chrome extension wrapper, and admin console. Frontend code remains vanilla JavaScript modules, CSS3, and HTML5.

## Commands Run

```sh
node tests/phase0/run-phase0-tests.mjs
node tests/phase1/run-phase1-tests.mjs
npm run ci:local
node -e "JSON.parse(...)"
php -v
```

## Deferred Or Blocked

- PHP 8.3 is not installed in the local Codex environment, so PHP syntax checks and PHPUnit remain blocked locally. Docker remains the intended local runtime for Apache/PHP, MySQL, Redis, and realtime services where applicable.
- Composer/pnpm lockfiles are not generated because dependency installation was not performed.
- The realtime service is a health and envelope skeleton only. WebSocket gameplay fan-out belongs to Phase 3.
- The PHP backend still uses a file-backed development store for local scaffold behavior; MySQL repositories belong to the next backend hardening pass.
